Instructions

1
Prepare the beef. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
2
Add the ground beef, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to a large bowl. Gently mix until the seasonings are evenly distributed. Don't overwork the beef.
3
Form the beef. Press the seasoned beef evenly into the prepared 9x13-inch pan, making sure it reaches all four corners.
4
Bake. Bake for about 18–20 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through. Carefully drain any excess grease from the pan.
5
Prepare the rolls. While the beef cooks, slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected if possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
6
Assemble. Spread about half of the Bacon Jam evenly over the bottom rolls. Top with the cheddar slices. Carefully place the cooked beef slab over the cheese. Top with the shredded Gruyère, followed by the pickled red onions and remaining Bacon Jam.
7
First bake. Put the sliders, without the top set of rolls, in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese starts to melt. Then remove from the oven.
8
Add the toppings. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and then sprinkle on the minced garlic, dried minced onion, and poppy, or sesame, seeds.
9
Bake again. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
10
Slice and serve. Let the sliders cool for a couple of minutes, then cut into 12 individual sliders. Serve warm.
