WHY PARTNER WITH COLEMAN?
Meet the demand for all-natural meat
Four out of the five top claims shoppers want from their meat department are directly related to the way animals are raised, and the majority (75 percent) are willing to pay more for meat if it means guarding safety concerns and feeling confident they are feeding their family better.
Capitalize on the growth and meet the demands of consumers with meat from a brand that has pioneered the “better-for-you” pork category before it made headlines. Coleman offers a variety of bacon, sausage, grinds, fresh pork and exclusive “limited time offer” items to meet any need nationwide.

Is your fresh pork product compliant with California Proposition 12 and Massachusetts Question 3?
Coleman is one of the largest pork producers to source crate free hogs.
Coleman has product available that meets and exceeds California’s Proposition 12 (The Farm Animal Confinement Initiative) and Massachusetts’ Question 3 (The Act to Prevent Cruelty to Farm Animals) that ban the sale of meat from pigs raised in gestation crates. This supply will dramatically increase over the coming months to meet the demands of customers in California and Massachusetts.
We are happy to provide a certificate of good faith to our clients, stating that we are providing Prop 12 compliant product.
What does it mean to be American Humane Certified? How does this compare to other humane certifications?
We didn’t have to change the way we operate to meet American Humane Certified™ standards, their 200+ standards have always been ingrained in our raising practices.
American Humane recently conducted a study that showed 65% of consumers agree they look for a meat product that is humane certified.
More than 50% said they would pay more for a product that is American Humane Certified.
American Humane Certified™ is the only animal welfare certifier created and overseen by a national humane organization with top ratings and endorsements from the key charity watchdog groups such as Charity Navigator (4 stars), the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Reports, which designates us as a “Best Charity.”
Standards of humane care are developed and reviewed regularly by a Scientific Advisory Committee of the world’s leading veterinarians, animal scientists, practitioners and ethicists.
What does it mean to be crate free?
Crate free means raising healthy sows and piglets without the use of crates. We allow for freedom of movement in both gestation and farrowing phases and are crate free.
We go above and beyond our competitors, as we truly do it for the health of the animal, not just to check a box. Our pens provide the sow 114% more space than average industry farrowing crates.
We know consumers are becoming more aware of where their food is coming from. We as a company just think it’s the right thing to do for the animal, but we also know a healthier, happier pig makes a better-quality meat product.
Do you have farmer stories we can feature on our website or in our store?
Yes, we have several farmers who are happy to talk about their livelihood. Your sales manager can connect you with our marketing department to discuss.
